Anchorage Wishes Dr Seuss a Happy Birthday
“Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.” On March 2nd, Theodor Seuss Geisel, aka, Dr Seuss, would have been 100 years old. The author of such children’s classics as ‘The Lorax’, ‘Horton Hears a Who’, ‘Green Eggs and Ham’ and ‘The Cat in the Hat’ (just to name a few) has continued to be a part of our lexicon even more than 20 years after his death. On March 15th, you are invited to join in as Anchorage wishes Dr Seuss a Happy Birthday.
What: Happy Birthday Dr Seuss!
Where: Fairview Recreation Center (1121 E 10th Ave)
When: Saturday, March 15, 2014 1pm to 3pm

It is more likely than not that the works of Dr Seuss had some impact on your childhood. He continues to live on in the lives of our children and will probably continue to influence your children’s children, their children and generations to come. That’s why Anchorage wants to wish Dr Seuss a Happy Birthday in a fun, imaginative way. All kids between the ages of two and seven living in the Anchorage area are welcome to come to the Fairview Recreation Center on Saturday, March 15th to listen to some of Dr Seuss’ most fantastical works, eat some birthday cake and make whimsical arts and crafts inspired by his stories.
There is a seating limit, so please call to make a reservation. Allow your child to join in as Anchorage wishes Dr Seuss a Happy Birthday. It was Dr Seuss who told us to “Think and Wonder. Wonder and Think. Oh, the thinks you can think!” Make your reservation today.
