The Stanley Cup is awarded to the NHL playoff winner at the end of the Stanley Cup Finals. Unlike the NFL’s Vince Lombardi Trophy, MLB’s Commissioner’s Trophy or the NBA’s Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy, the Stanley Cup is passed down from the previous season’s winning team to the current winning team each year. It has the names of every NHL playoff winning team for the last 65 playoffs.
This Saturday, February 8th, there will be a Stanley Cup viewing in Anchorage at Crossbar. Anybody interested in seeing the Stanley Cup in person just needs to show up. Admission is free.
